BHK Child Development includes a wide variety of services for children and families. Head Start, preschool and childcare are the agency's cornerstone programs, but BHK also offers adult education and family literacy services, support for pregnant mothers, family wellness activities, an AmeriCorps national service program, and after-school and summer learning programs for public school children. Copper Country Early On: Early On is a program for children birth to age 3 who have a disability or developmental delay, or a health condition that might lead to a developmental delay. (Click here for the State site)

Copper Country Community Mental Health Services provides an array of services intended to increase independence, improve quality of life, and support community integration and inclusion of the persons served in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties. The CCMH Institute provides a variety of education, prevention, and training programs including: Alzheimer education, adolescent development, asset building, caregiver education, child development, community education, depression education, elder abuse education, infant mental health, mental health training, parent education, preschool expulsion prevention, stress management, substance abuse prevention, violence prevention, and youth social skill development.

4C of the Upper Peninsula helps parents to find licensed childcare, supports and trains childcare providers, and advocates for the highest quality of childcare for parents, employers, and the general public throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Click here for calendar of events.

Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Social Services provides prevention, protective, foster care, adoption and juvenile justice services for members of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.

Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Even Start includes early childhood education and adult education into one unified program by focusing on the needs of the entire family. It is a family literacy program that serves both Tribal and non-Tribal Baraga County families with children under the age of 8 who want to complete high school or obtain a GED. The Keweenaw Family Resource Center
supports, enriches, and strengthens family lives in the Keweenaw Peninsula by providing a variety of programs that focus on families with children from birth through four years of age.
